After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade made its triumphant return to Third Avenue on Sunday, March 27. Hundreds of parade participants from local schools, civic and business organizations, Irish cultural groups and talented marching bands filled the avenue with green and gold as part of On Saturday evening, Feb. 8, the Brooklyn St. Patrick’s Parade Committee held its annual fund-raising dance party to celebrate the group’s coming 50th anniversary parade on Sunday, March 16. The event was held in the auditorium of Bay Ridge’s St. Patrick’s Catholic Academy, Fourth Avenue and 97th Street, and featured the Canny Brothers 1) The Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade on 3rd Avenue will start at 1:00 pm on Marine and 3rd Avenue. The parade continues to 3rd Avenue and 67th Street. The grandstand is in front of Greenhouse Cafe. However, one of the most festive ways to spend St. Patrick’s Day is checking out Bay Ridge’s Holiday House at 635 79th Street, Brooklyn. For every occasion, this house brings out the most over-the-top decorations, and St. Patrick’s Day is no different. Bay Ridge’s Holiday House In 1993, Mike, along with the Bay Ridge division of the AOH and other community minded individuals, brought forth the idea of holding a local St, Patrick’s Parade in Bay Ridge on 5th Avenue.
